Rensselaer County resident Andrew M. Squillari, age 26, of Troy, was charged on Wednesday, Oct. 23, following an investigation by the State Police and the US Department of Homeland Security.
According to Trooper Stephanie O'Neil, Squillari is accused of promoting and possessing images consistent with child sexual exploitation.
His arrest followed an investigation and the execution of a search warrant at his residence in Troy.
Squillari was charged with promoting a sexual performance by a child and possessing a sexual performance by a child.
He was remanded to the Rensselaer County Correctional Facility in place of $10,000 cash, $10,000 bond, or a $100,000 partially secured bond.
